Control Systems and Equipment

As an Automation Technician EFZ, you’ll assemble, wire, program, and test electrical control systems and automated equipment. You’ll learn how machines are electrically configured and how their functions are controlled.


Applying Technology in Practice

During your apprenticeship, you’ll work with electrical components, control panels, sensors, drives, and control systems. This will give you a step-by-step understanding of how our machines work.

Requirements

  • Interest in technology, electrical engineering, and automated systems
  • Enjoyment of hands-on work and solving technical problems
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Math grade of at least 4.5
  • Very good written and spoken German
  • Reliable, meticulous, and conscientious work ethic
  • Motivation to learn new things and take on responsibility
  • Ability to work in a team, perseverance, and manual dexterity
