Computer-to-Screen (CtS)

Digital direct exposing redefines the limits of screen printing. By eliminating physical films, the path from design to screen is drastically shortened. UV LED technology transfers even the finest structures onto the screen with a sharpness that analog systems cannot physically achieve. The result is uncompromising image reproduction with maximum time efficiency.

Lossless image transfer
Every raster point is written directly into the emulsion without scattering losses. This ensures sharp edges and gradients that remain stable even in complex high-end applications.
Setup time elimination
Manual handling, positioning and alignment of films are completely eliminated. Digital data transfer accelerates prepress workflows and increases flexibility for small batch production.
Perfect color registration
Software-controlled image positioning ensures micrometer-precise alignment. Registration deviations between colors are systematically eliminated, reducing waste in printing.

Digital high-end exposing without compromise

Maximum wavelength flexibility through DMD and LED_Q4

Our CtS technology is designed for maximum versatility and speed. While conventional systems often reach chemical limitations, our LED_Q4 light source covers the full spectrum required by modern emulsions. Controlled by millions of DMD micro-mirrors, a high-contrast exposure image is created. Integrated laser registration ensures process reliability by verifying the frame position twice before exposing – guaranteeing perfect results for every screen.

LED_Q4 multispectrum

Up to four freely combinable wavelengths (365/385/395/405 nm) ensure optimal curing for any emulsion. With over 10,000 operating hours, the system sets the benchmark for industrial reliability.

DMD modulation

Digital light control ensures sharp details without scattering losses, resulting in highly stable screen edges for long print runs.

Dual screen registration

An integrated laser verifies frame positioning through double measurement, eliminating human errors during loading and ensuring perfect image alignment.

Process

From data file to finished screen

1. RIP & digital masking
Image data is transferred directly from the RIP server to the DMD mirror array. This replaces the entire conventional film production process. The exposure mask is generated digitally, eliminating image loss caused by film distortion or light scattering.
2. Laser positioning alignment
After loading the screen, a laser scans the frame position twice. The system calculates the exact reference point and automatically aligns the digital image. Manual film alignment and visual registration checks are no longer required.
3. Direct UV projection
The LED_Q4 light source projects UV light via millions of digitally controlled micro-mirrors (DMD) directly onto the mesh. Without glass or vacuum, errors such as dust inclusion, Newton rings or poor contact are eliminated.
4. Multispectral polymerization
By combining up to four wavelengths, the emulsion is cured instantly and uniformly throughout its depth. Precise energy control ensures sharp edges and high mechanical durability. The screen is immediately ready for washout.
