Head of Mechanical Engineering Design (m/f)

Leadership & Organization

• Technical and personnel management of a small design team
• Planning, coordinating, and monitoring workflows
• Work preparation and resource planning within the department
• Maintenance and further development of the CAD environment

Development and Design

• Development and design of new machines and assemblies
• Implementation of customer-specific requirements and custom solutions
• Maintenance, optimization, and standardization of our machine portfolio
• Preparation of preliminary cost estimates for prototypes and special designs

Project Management and Process Optimization

• Planning and coordination of technical projects
• Optimization of processes in design, production, and assembly
• Preparation of risk analyses and technical documentation

Technical support for the various departments

• Purchasing: technical consulting, supplier management, and price negotiations
• Sales & Marketing: support with project planning and finding solutions
• Customer Service: damage analysis, troubleshooting, and spare parts inquiries
• Production: technical support during implementation
• Application Engineering: conducting and supervising tests

Professional Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or a comparable field of study
• Several years of experience in the design and development of machinery
• Experience leading small teams
• Knowledge of project management and process optimization
• Experience in preparing technical documentation and risk analyses

Software Skills

• Very good knowledge of 3D CAD systems, ideally HiCAD
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably AMS-ERP
