Get to Know the Profession
During your introductory apprenticeship as a polymechanic EFZ, you’ll gain hands-on insight into mechanical manufacturing. You’ll see how raw materials are transformed into precision components and learn about the day-to-day tasks of a polymechanic.
Hands-On Tasks
You won’t just be observing—you’ll also have the opportunity to perform hands-on tasks yourself. In the process, you’ll learn how to use tools, measuring instruments, and machines, and you’ll gain an appreciation for how important precision and meticulous work are in this profession.
Duration of the Taster Program
If you’re already seriously interested in an apprenticeship as a polymechanic EFZ, we recommend a 3-day taster program. If you’d like to get to know the profession first or are still unsure about your career choice, a 1-day taster program is also available.
Requirements for the 3-day trial apprenticeship
For a 3-day trial apprenticeship, we need your current school transcripts in advance. We offer these trial apprenticeships specifically to students who, based on their academic performance and profile, are generally eligible for an apprenticeship as a polymechanic EFZ.
Assessment
During the 3-day trial apprenticeship, we’ll also conduct an assessment. This allows us to evaluate together whether your skills, interests, and work style are a good fit for the profession of polymechanic EFZ.
